The 2020 vintage of Michael David Freak Show is a blend for everyday drinking. A blend of Syrah (appx 54%), Petite Sirah (appx 42%) and Souzao (appx 4%), it is a balanced, fruit-forward red wine with notes of dark berries and plum. Although it does not provide the complexity and tannic structure of a Napa or Sonoma Cabernet, neither does it come with the same price tag.
I recommend this wine, but just find the circus-themed bottle label a little freaky. — 6 months ago
An old standard in our household. Velvety smooth, rich juicy berries. Glad we can purchase Freakshow even at Costco in TX and have a solid, boozy Cab at the ready. — 5 years ago

2018 bottle has a smaller label but the bottle itself is embossed with the Michael David name.
I prefer their Freakshow Chardonnay because it's less oaky, but that's just personal preference.
A beautiful example of classically delicious Chardonnay — 7 years ago
Freakshow. First comes the petrol that lingers. Then comes the honeyed fruits. Lots of pineapple and nectarine and marmalade. Beautiful acidity like a sunbeam, that makes this wine seem like it's veering towards a Spatlese, even though technically it's been clocked at TBA levels of sweetness. A crisp dewy finish. Beautiful. — 11 years ago
2008. Still the electric high acid freakshow I recall. — 12 years ago
Big, bold, spicy: you go through the entirety of all the red wine spectrum as you drink this. Enough oak to hold the 12 (12!) grapes used in this blend. — 12 years ago
Really delicious! Would get again! :) smooth — a month ago
Add the Zinfandel to the lineup of Freakshow wines that I’ve tried and liked. Thick, but smooth without being syrupy. Great flavor. The finish is sweet and subtle. Admittedly, I’m persuaded by the heavy bottle and cool branding. Aesthetics matter. — 3 months ago

Okay this is awesome. Old school. Cigar, Cuban tobacco, chestnut, tar, dead roses, so so so Nebbiolo. The high toned aromas are just stunning. Really wafts. It’s old school but super clean. Pop and pour and the aromas just kill! Wow. Wow. Palate is just gorgeous. Astonishing purity and freshness and oodles of mid season ripe cherries and wonderful opulence. Superb juiciness. Like 10/10 juiciness. Lovely velvety tannins and such a long juicy finish. So so pure. This is a freakshow. — 6 years ago

I found this bottle alone on a shelf with no price in the supermarket. I took a chance because I love their Freakshow. It was a right move. — 10 years ago
What a beautiful bouquet on this wine.
I think I found the Freakshow's younger brother. Tastes like it ,smells like it,and a little cheaper.
Color is red Ruby with brown notes and a white Rim.
On the nose, blueberries, figs, plums, boysenberry, black pepper, chocolate, and spice box.
On the palate, dark berries, chocolate and vanilla, sweet plums, raisins, sweet cherries, peppercorn, oak and black pepper.
Full bodied with a nice mouth feel and good balance.
Medium plus finish with sweet and bold tannins , and some black pepper.
15.3% alcohol by volume with gorgeous, long, fat legs . Great, great wine!
This reminded me of the Freakshow so much that I had to open it and compare the two .

My review may not be beneficial to all because of my drinking style. I drink the bottle myself over the course of a week. With this Freakshow Cab Sauv, my review changed from the first to last glass. The first glass was strong, thin, and barely enjoyable. With subsequent glasses tasted a developing sweetness and thickness. I realize this is counter intuitive to wines normally being best when being allowed to breathe a bit after opening. Just wasn’t the case for me with this one. Rating was a 6.5 to start and a 9.5 at the end I’m grading with a curve to give it an overall 9. Will buy again based on Freakshow reputation and hope for a better early result. — 3 months ago
I'm not typically a chardonnay fan, so take this rating with a grain of salt. I probably like this because it isn't horribly oaky. — 2 years ago
Fresh, fruity but not overpoweringly sweet. Apricot notes. I had it chilled on its own and with food. Perfect for summer and hot weather. — 6 years ago
New everyday wine, $11 at Sams, replaced Freakshow in our rack. — 9 years ago
This is always a phenomenal bottle of wine. The complexity is amazing. It's a small lot of only 348 cases produced. — 12 years ago
God this is good. Aromatic freakshow. — 12 years ago
