Probably not technically as good as it tastes. This is a big, rich, flavorful wine with lots of dark fruit and high in alcohol at 15% which is most noticeable upon opening so let it breathe. I like to just sip it but also enhances food especially roasted red meats and strong cheeses with crusty bread. Wine snobs will undoubtedly be critical but so what! 2018 bottle has a smaller label but the bottle itself is embossed with the Michael David name.
I prefer their Freakshow Chardonnay because it's less oaky, but that's just personal preference.

Okay this is awesome. Old school. Cigar, Cuban tobacco, chestnut, tar, dead roses, so so so Nebbiolo. The high toned aromas are just stunning. Really wafts. It’s old school but super clean. Pop and pour and the aromas just kill! Wow. Wow. Palate is just gorgeous. Astonishing purity and freshness and oodles of mid season ripe cherries and wonderful opulence. Superb juiciness. Like 10/10 juiciness. Lovely velvety tannins and such a long juicy finish. So so pure. This is a freakshow. — 5 years ago
