Beautifully aromatic nose, probably starting the best phase right now.
Black cherry with some damson plum, a nice cedar wood note and a healthy dose of spices. Fresh, relatively cool, with stony minerality. Quite distinct and with very little iron or earthy aromas. Enticing.
On the palate this is the finest black sour cherry juice with some plum and a pinch of exotic spice (cloves, allspice, cinnamon, pepper). Beautiful juicy acidity, tannins polished & perfectly integrated. Fresh, sappy, so drinkable. The iron note appears in the very long, mineral finish.
This is singing right now! Delicious stuff!

This is NOT the Steinporz. Wow, what a nose. Deep orchard fruit, tons of stone flecked gravel, straw, wildflowers. Deep palate impression, lots of depth, quite ripe but with intense mineral freshness. One of the best Pinot Blancs I’ve ever had. — 7 months ago
