Deep garnet color, high acidity and still plenty of tannins. Smell of red fruit, cedar, flint. Medium full body, some tertiary flavors mixed with red fruit, plum, pomegranate, espresso . Long finish — 5 months ago
These are recalled impressions, not contemporaneous notes, from two nights ago, when the family council of elders met for a steak/wine pairing event at my brother Angelo’s house.
I love this style of Brunello. Great balance of deep cherry fruit and terra cotta earthiness. Tannins resolving. Went especially well with the steak that was grilled with garlic and rosemary. — 7 months ago
Lighter than most barolo. Went well with a banana pepper risotto / spicy Remoulade. Enjoyed — 2 years ago
Probably the best bottle of this I’ve had. Perfectly matured classical Rioja. Black cherries, some caramel, no tannins left and piercing acidity. — 4 years ago
This is a lovely prosecco that I can actually enjoy on its own rather than in an amaro spritz or mimosa. Effusive nose with nice citrus and floral aromas. Lemon bar, florals, and hints of almond praline on the palate, and the bubbles provide a creamy mouthfeel. Good finish with lingering floral notes. — a day ago

Perhaps the most interesting & intriguing older wine/Barolo I’ve had in memory. It showed its tannin profile and fruit. Tart and just gently sweet cherries, tomato leaf, soft, almost sweet tarriness, light tobacco & leather. Group intrigue. Special.

2016 vintage at local Italian restaurant, delicious, full bodied $88 — 5 months ago
Vivid clear, color and tight, concentrated fruit. Cherries and plums and juiciness. Very delicious, but also seem to fade very quickly and it’s flavor. Corked it for a day and a half and came back to something that was quite quickly on its way out and had become round and just grape juicy. Maybe that’s on me for leaving it. — 7 months ago
Dried apricot , cherry , stone . Fruitier barbera — 4 years ago
Delicious, lush, and savory. Good Barbera acids, prune, stewed cherry, cola/black tea, wet earth and some mushroom, Piedmont tar, some minerals. From Amaro Spirits and Wine. 01/29/22 — 4 years ago
"Odedi"
Ruby in color with medium intensity and a wide reddish rim.
Light nose and medium in body with medium plus acidity.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing red and black fruits with light wood, tobacco leaf, bitter herbs, peppercorn, rhubarb, green tea, light vegetables, earth and chocolates.
Tangy finish with round tannins and raspberries.
This 5 year old Barbaresco is elegant with enough fruits to balance the earth notes. Tangy and spicy. Smooth and delicate.
Needs a couple of hours to open up properly.
A good food wine that I paired with a Truffle Brie cheese.
100% Nebbiolo grapes were aged in large oak barrels for 18 months.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
90 points.
