Riserva Chianti Classico Sangiovese

Light bouquet with fruit notes. Smooth start with low tannins and deep dark berries. Dark berry flavors and smooth thru the finish.

Medium garnet to the edge with a medium nose of red & black fruits with some earth and light leather or earth. Medium bodied with clear acidity but balanced tannins.

Garnet in color. Aromas of black cherry, plum, violet, coffee and a hint of pepper spice. Pallet features the black cherries with tobacco, almonds and a touch of orange zest. Nice medium earthy finish. Very bright acidity. Firm tannins. Elegant.

Slam dunk with homemade Sunday Sauce and meatballs. Let it open for 2 hours.

Awful, threw away the bottle after the first sip.

On the darker side for Chianti. Lot of violet on nose. Cherry and cola. Grippy tannins. Duped into this by Bob. Had with leftover Summer Bolognese.

Raspberry and cherry, not too tart, maybe some violets. Nice oak influence with some spice and vanilla, smooth finish without grippy drying tannins.

Maybe should have decanted this longer. Was good throughout, but really seemed to open up towards the end of the meal.
