Fort Du Roy

Domaine Sylvain Pataille

Clos du Roy Marsannay Pinot Noir 2019

Too bad that more people have discovered the wines of Sylvain Pataille. Still well priced but more competitive to buy them. — 7 days ago

Roy Piper

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2011

Great fruit even at this age. The only issue I had besides the slight bell pepper is how rough the tannins were and the coconut on the nose. American oak? Not something i’d think Roy would use. — 4 months ago

Estate Vineyard Fort Ross - Seaview Syrah

While I wanted to enjoy this one it wasn’t my favorite. Was described as having some fruit present but fell short. — 3 months ago

Hi Shay! Same I love it. Sadly it was just a quick trip from Sacramento after kid volleyball matches ended for the day.

Domaine Marc Roy

Clos Prieur Gevrey-Chambertin Pinot Noir 2005

A little farmyardy on opening, but still some pleasure in this forgotten oldie from the cellar when it opened up… — 3 months ago

Fort Ross

Fort Ross Vineyard Pinot Noir 2019

First-rate #sonomacoastpinot #fortross producer so I could not pass up the WTSO special offer price on this fairly recent vintage. Seems to open up after a day or two in the wine fridge. Delicate nose of dried rose petal and cherries, medium bodied mouthfeel. Delicious wine but their Sea Slope Sonoma Coast lower tier offering was just as good with higher QPR. — 5 months ago
