Flaccianello della Pieve Colli Toscana Centrale Sangiovese 2015

Excellent Sangiovese brought back as a gift from Italy. Opened without knowing much and enjoyed it. Very earthy and while the alcohol content isn't noticeable from drinking, two glasses definitely hit me. Went well with a nice Mother's Day chicken picatta dinner. — 6 days ago

Meriggio Colli Toscana Centrale Sauvignon Blanc

It's white, it's dry and I love its sweetness. Herbal nose and mouth. Light bodied, soft. — 23 days ago

Fonterutoli Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend 2009

Tasty, but I would like it more if it didn’t have Cabernet Sauvignon in it and if they used less oak. Pretty rich and ripe. I prefer Felsina, Fontodi, Monsanto, Castell’in Villa, Rampolla, Isole e Olena and San Giusto a Rentennano to this! — a year ago

I agree. I am a fan of both 2004 and 2006.

Vigna del Sorbo Riserva Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend 2010

Deep, Bing cherry red; big cherry top note; more cherries with blackberry and earthy notes followed by silky tannins. Fully flavorful, but still a bit tight. — 3 months ago

Case Via Colli Toscana Centrale Syrah 2011

Had this over a year ago, still tasting great. Located in the heart of Chianti Classico in the valley which lies south of the town of Panzano, called the "Conca d’Oro" (the golden shell) because of its amphitheatre shape. Aged for 12 months in oak, big ripe berry aromas & spicy notes. On the palate dark berry flavors, some sweet currants, cacao and oak. Well balanced with soft smooth tannins, lingering ending with smoky tones. Nice! Grab a bottle if you find one! — 21 days ago

Vigna del Sorbo Gran Selezione Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend 2012

Fontodi’s 2012 Vigna del Sorbo #ChiantiClassico #GranSelezione is all that ~ night one deep and dark with herbs, roots and barks for tea dominating the flavors ~ dark fruits popping a bit more when paired with sausage pasta ~ night two more red fruits emerging especially when paired w steak and truffle fries 😉 — 6 months ago
