Deep vibrant ruby colour, very lively. Lots of ripe strawberry on the nose with a hint of earthiness. Moderately bold with oaky tannins. A little sweet with a touch of heat on the finish. Lingers on the palate. — 4 years ago

Not the most interesting orange wine but was nice — 7 months ago
Very dry, dusty. Full bodied, would be good with salami or meat. — 3 years ago
Likely some bias as enjoyed it while in the Acores, but tried a bunch of arinto while in the Acores and Portugal proper, and this was the favorite by far. Simply delicious. — 4 months ago
2020 vintage. Another successful Maçanita wine. A blend of 27% Alicante Bouschet, 25% Aragonez, 14% Castelão, 14% Trincadeira 12% Alfrocheiro and 8% others ( Baga, Tinta Carvalha , Touriga Nacional). Soils are yellow schist and granite. Vineyard altitude 280-380 m. Attractive nose with amarena cherries, raspberries, dark chocolate and Provencal herbs. Concentrated jammy black fruit balanced by tight acidity and a powerful tannic structure. Very good length with retronasal fruit and spices. Abv. 14,5% . Should age well. — 2 years ago
