This fella really held up over 7+ years from harvest. While some initial freshness as evolved, the harmony/density is very respectable. 2015 was a hit/miss vintage depending on micro-climates. Can’t remember if this was all estate, nevertheless it was deep red/black fruit northern Italian style ride. — 3 years ago
Absolutely fantastic! At nine years old, this is just hitting the full effect of secondary bottle aging. Black cherries, coffee and liquored raspberries are framed by a simmered redux of eastern & baking spices. Almost as long as it is wide… The acidity is almost fully entwined with the tannins for a near seamless tour d’force. This fella is playing in the same sandbox with RdV’s Lost Mountain...it’s that good! 2 bottles remain in the cellar :) — 7 years ago
My daughters cat really doesn’t care what we are drinking. I had an 03 a while back. Was outstanding. Had to try one on my 14s. Doesn’t disappoint and thankfully 5 more are waiting downstairs. Wedding crashers is on. Pork tenderloin is cooking and this fella. Loving my Saturday night!! — 7 years ago

Quite impressive! I would label this a “classic” CF in the same way old school Breaux tastes. A little lean & mean, this fella was complete with dark cherry, spice (pepper) and green crunchy veggie notes (yes, Bell pepper). Finish was longer than the body was wide. This was my first LongIsland wine, I am sufficiently interested :) — 7 years ago
Passito-style (100% Malvasia fella Lipari grapes) dessert wine. Beautiful amber color. Aromas and flavors of orange and apricot jam with a additional hints of honey, grapefruit, nuts, raisins and lemon zest. A touch of salinity makes this dessert wine seem less sweet. Medium viscosity, waxy texture and bristling acidity. Quite complex and well balanced. Thank you for sharing this one, Ron B! — 3 years ago

One that me dad’s been talking about since I was about 8. Didn’t disappoint. 31 years old, perfectly mellowed. Earthy, mushroom on the nose then cherry and raisin on the palette. Privilege to drink this fella — a year ago
