This wine is cloudy in appearance with a peach-like tint to it. The nose is complex, with notes of watermelon rind, pineapple, green apple, and citrus. The palate is savory and tart. There are flavors of sour cherry, apricot, Meyer lemon, and pineapple juice. A cloak of salinity wraps around the flavor package. This is one of the more interesting wines I’ve tasted lately. I don’t know if it’s for everyone, but it is for me. I would like to pair it with a shrimp salad or even have it with an eggs-and-sausage brunch. Breakfast, even, if you don’t have to go to work. — 3 months ago

This was really interesting. Loved the aroma and the flavors continued to evolve over a few days. The nose was a bit earthy and funky. Soft attack, red and black fruits, gentle pepperiness on the finish. Good acidity. Didn’t go well with a red pasta sauce, but I’d easily drink this again. Thanks Jason! — 6 years ago

Semi transparent Ruby red. Aromatics of dried rose petals and violets with Sous Bois. Profound flavour intensity with savoury red cherry. Burgundian overtones. The Langtons Classification adopted Main Ridge as a top Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir many years ago - almost the original. Oak is in balance and doesn’t intrude. A very good Pinot, and probably a point or two behind their premium Cuvée, The Half Acre. Had the last one on 30/5/25. Good but not great. — 2 years ago

No ratings on this wine in a while it seems. The 2024 vintage is quite quaffable, although more tannin than I’d expect in a carbonic wine. Perhaps semi-carbonic, with some time on that 100% whole cluster following the carbonic maceration? A very enjoyable wine though, fruit forward as you’d expect from carbonic but with more structure and grip. Well made. — 8 months ago

Day 3 in Napa in the books! Running a day behind on notes...Napa time runs slow AND fast!

Main reason we go out this time of year each year...the Flora Springs Trilogy Release Party! This was our 5th year in a row to attend. For comparison sake, this is less acidic than ‘15, but more structured than ‘14. Close to ‘13 in style. Trilogy style with fig, nutmeg, espresso, mainly black fruit, & a small dollop of floral/violet notes. — 8 years ago
