Bright and deep cherry red. Shy nose of red cherry and white pepper. Medium full bodied palate yields spicy cherry and black cranberry with firm acidity and a bit of French oak. Juicy lingering finish gives a bit of anise toward the end. Classic Tavel that’s ready for any place you’d take a lighter red. The Thanksgiving table is a particularly good match in American homes as it will compliment the eclectic fare. Drink now for the fresh cranberry tones, or hold through 2030 for a classic Old World experience. — 5 years ago
This was a Casemates lab rat bottle. It’s not an east-to-find varietal, but worth the hunt if you find one this nice. Right on opening, I got an aroma of raspberries, and a little bit of funkiness like I usually associate with Pinot Noir. It was a nice, smooth drinking wine that was terrific with a really eclectic meal of grilled pork chops and a variety of veggies. — 6 years ago
Hungarian Dry White chosen by daughter Georgie. An eclectic blend of Furmint, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and 2 unspellable Hungarian varieties. Pale lemon in colour. A palate like so many of the European Whites I have had on this trip to the UK. Medium bodied with M plus intensity. Notes of Peach and Pear on the palate with low acid. Thoroughly delicious. — 7 years ago

Wow. This wine is READY. Pours very dark into the glass. Thick meniscus. Nose that is intense: blackberry, blueberry, pencil shavings, roasted almonds, oregano. Enters with ripe blackberries and blueberry pie immediately up front. Middle of roasted coffee bean, herbs, roasted almonds, mint, black tea. Very eclectic and powerful. Finishes with a graphite chalkiness and powerful and mostly blueberry finish with black pepper. Tannins are still quite grippy, although I imagine the edges were more jagged on this one 5 years ago. WOW. Drink. Now. !! — 7 years ago
Started out shaky but rose to an eclectic dinner. Wine after decanting had the right tannins and a dried cherry linger that worked well on my palate. — a year ago
Purchased at winery: legit Priorato here with that schisty style, took forever to open, disintegrated cork, and I almost lost hope - eventually yielded stunning eclectic & complex nose of dusty minerals, cherry & blackberry compote, medicinal, spice, a hi-toned note, really evolving. Smooth rich luxurious on palate, great density & mouthfeel, tons of minerals & red & black fruit w/just enough acidity to balance it all out. Persistent finish. This isn’t their hi end bottling, and it isn’t Clos Mogador or anything like that, but this is absolutely Priorato with some more life ahead. — 4 years ago
Monthly WTF wine group tasting. This month’s theme was chardonnay from any region or vintage. Nice eclectic bunch! All wines tasted blind.
Winner of the “biggest imitator”. This was very ripe, as though the wine was meant to be made a certain way. I think the entire group called this new world. Good bit of oak in play here, alongside melon, apple crumble pie, and hardly any acidity. Typical baking spice notes of nutmeg and vanilla too. May be starting to oxidize a bit, which probably gives this some complexity. Thanks @Michael Rariden . — 6 years ago
Awesome, eclectic summer blend of French grapes from N Italy. Grenache, Mourvèdre, Carignan, Marselan and Alicante. — 7 years ago
Burnished red copper in colour. A natural orange wine fermented on skins in clay amphorae in Friuli. An eclectic white blend of Chardonnay Sauvignon Blanc Pinot Grigio and Riesling fermented separately and aged together. Oxidative notes. On the palate very textural and full bodied with Quince and dried Apricot notes. Quite tannic for a white wine. Amazing intensity of flavour - probably too much. A challenging wine and to be honest an acquired taste. I have one left from 2006 which I will have in a few years. — 7 years ago

2016. Smokey Hollow. Old Mission Peninsula. What a very pleasant and enjoyable surprise. This was a light tart and refreshing wine. Light golden color and light citrus aroma. A little sweetness and apple flavor that went very well with an eclectic dinner including ribs with Carolina sauce and red pepper, Pa Dutch sweet & sour Mac salad m, bok choi and kimchee. Tough menu but the wine came through with flying colors. Really very good! — 8 years ago
Wow this is GOOD. natural, unfined, unfiltered. ultra funky and juicy and fresh. some barnyard, farm, algae, mushroom on the nose. palate is lively and eclectic - ripe cranberry, sour cherry, mushroom, tea leaves, dirt, some cola. very fun wine.

@Linne Calodo They just make great wine. Time and time again. Their eclectic Rhône blends are good , no great. This had violets on the nose , with deep black cherry and a little white pepper to finish. Great mouthfeel with medium plus acidity. Long lingering finish. Yummy — 6 years ago

I really enjoyed this. Next to the Chablis it was poured next to, this was much more soft. It also continually evolved in the glass. More reductive/matchstick notes here than the Chablis, as well as a warm profile. It revealed some baking spice notes from the oak, lemon meringue, ripe stone fruits and the profile was almost creamy (in a good way). This would be a nice bottle to bridge people from high end Cali chard to burgundy. — 6 years ago
100% Vermentino
Light crisp and refreshing. Good food wine, as well as stand alone sipper. Character is light, golden straw, Sierra Foothill terrior. 13.3 ABV. Still relevant and very enjoyable on day three of being opened. Discovered at Ruthe Roberts Wine Collective.

Fruit-forward, but well structured. Lots of different and aromas and flavors to speak of, the different varieties mesh well…very eclectic but a little eager. — 8 months ago
