Dveri Pax

Walker Vine Hill Syrah 2005

2005 Vintage.14.8% Alcohol. Need to open with an Ah So type opener, not a corkscrew as the corks have become brittle over time. Thank goodness for the thick bright blue wax seal as it likely saved this bottle from being corked. — 5 days ago

Fannuchi-Wood Road Vineyard Trousseau Gris 2019

Deeper pink than typical Rosé, nose is clean with some pear aromas. Light, fruit forward drying out at the end. Pear is offset with some strawberry and ? Light acidity and little if any oak. Nice! — 22 days ago

North Coast Syrah 2019

Intense and savory with notes of dark fruit, pepper, and olive. Delicious now, but would likely benefit from some aging. A taste of the Northern Rhone from the North Coast of California. Purchased at Suburban Wines in Yorktown Heights, NY. — a month ago

Armagh Vineyard Syrah 2017

Beautiful nose - bramble, olive, violets, herbs. Texturally rich and creamy which you notice before the fruit - underripe blackberries, and a bitter, fresh flavor that persists in the mid-palette throughout. Day two: hardly changed! — 17 days ago

Griffin's Lair Sonoma Coast Syrah 2016

The nose bursts out of the glass with pine needle, smoke, blood, olives. Palette is subdued at this stage, showing some olives and tar. Others noted extremely tannins, which I don’t pick up. I found this immediately drinkable, with plenty of life and evolution ahead. — 2 months ago
