Pretty classical chard. Lemon, grass, bread. Nice grip. — 2 years ago
Friend house warming. Recent discovery of cabernet blend in beechworth is pretty good. Vanilla and chalky mineral. Abit of white paper feel. there is also some blue fruit and floral taste like pomerol. Quite smooth and elegant but still got some background bitter taste. Plum sweet — 2 years ago
Struck match, leesy, peach and nectarine, balanced oak in the background. This is the little brother of Giaconda which is regarded by many as being the best Chardonnay in Australia, made by Rick Kinzbrunner In Beechworth in the foothills of the Australian Alps. Grown in gravelly soils. Most winemakers would be happy to have this as their best effort, but this is Giaconda. — 8 months ago
2004 Vintage Overtly green and herbal on the nose but still with lovely Cabernet sweet fruit and fine tannin. — a year ago
Absolutely gorgeous. Phenomenal rich luscious fruit and voluptuous tannin. Would not pick it blind as Sangiovese. — 2 years ago
One of the best Sangiovese I’ve tasted. Really well put together! — 8 months ago
Med body, savoury acid, reasonably simple but nice length — a year ago
Stunning. Everything tied together beautifully after a couple of years in bottle. Delicious stuff!! — 2 years ago
Outstanding!! Super tight and focussed. Struck match, flinty and nectarine kernel complexity. Drink now or hold for 3-5 years. Wish it came in magnums! Ripper booze!! — 2 years ago

Mid yellow in colour. Flinty, minerally with light stone fruit - under ripe peach/nectarine. Restrained, delicate, savoury, beautiful. Just an excellent Chardonnay whichever way you cut it. The labels copying the Burgundian graphics but totally worthy of the contents. Sorrenberg, in Beechworth, is a neighbour of Giaconda - generally recognised as one of the best in Australia. — a month ago
