Actually a robust wine prominently showing that 2003 heat I’d come across every so often. Makes it interesting mixed into the more classical Burg profile, perhaps not silkily balanced but still thought provoking and a good one with Evan’s over salted soyu chicken — 7 months ago
underripe pear, apricot. fantastic — 5 years ago
Much better than my last btl about 1.5 yrs ago. Oak better integrated, but still.char and a touch of pyrazine...which I guess I would call vintage character. On the palate: good acidity, roasted strawberry and excellent density with fantastic spice. Soft tannin on the juucy and spicy finish. Excellent. — 5 years ago
One of my favorite Gamay bottles I’ve ever had. I love it dearly. Have another bottle in the cellar! — 6 years ago
I’ve had this wine in my cellar since release. Cork was prestine and showed nicely. Probably held a few years to many. — 7 years ago

Terrific nose of mature red fruits and autumnal forest floor and earth. Then a bit of shock of acids on palate but then resolved to nice balanced profile and lively texture. Good finish. — 6 years ago
Decent. Kinda stinky, tart, and bitter. — 7 years ago
Such great value! While I feel doesn't have the Bereche typicity, it's so elegant and poised. Fruiter, more powerful, less mineral, but bolstered by racy acidity.
I think Vinous nails my tasting notes, so I'm just gonna leave that here:
"The 2008 Côte Premier Cru, a blend of 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir from Vertus, is striking. Translucent and expressive, the 2008 captures a gorgeous, crystalline expression of Vertus Chardonnay, with a little added body and texture from the Pinot. Sweet floral and honeyed notes wrap around the expressive, precise finish. There is a lot to like here. Dosage is 6 grams/liter." — 8 years ago
A pair of vintage matched Burg. This one just on the cusp, yellow golden color, hints of oxidative notes into a mellow rounded palate — 6 months ago
Still excellent years later! More autumnal notes and fall leaves. Nice — 8 months ago
