Vosne-Romanée Pinot Noir 2018

Delicious red fruit and berries with forest floor, cedar and floral notes. Surprising how open and approachable this was. Great acidity and juiciness. Tannins were longer but not overpowering in the least. — 4 months ago

Ah crazy crazy burgundy. No amount of producer, site of vintage pedigree is ever a guarantee. Unremarkable vs expectations — a month ago

Aux Boudots Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2008

Meo crushed 08. The vintage adds such elegance to the wines and allows terroir to really shine. But it’s actually very Vosne-like with pretty sweet spice and floral aromatics. The palate is pure, focused and delineated with balanced acids and plenty of volume. Beautiful wine. — 7 months ago

Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru Pinot Noir 2013

Really only comes alive with fatty foods or cheeses. Drank at a Lioco tasting at a friend’s place and we agreed that, on its own it’s too closed up and austere, but blossoms with food! — 4 months ago
