Domaine Gres St. Vincent

Côtes du Rhône Red Rhône Blend

Great natural Grenache/Syrah blend. Mildly funky, ripe stone fruit, chalky earth, black pepper notes. Great food or table wine. — 4 years ago

Domaine Vincent Paris

Les Côtes Saint-Joseph Syrah 2022

No notes. Beef jerky & dark cherries, on nose & palate. Thinner concentration I had hoped for, but suspect age, air and/ or long decant will bring it together — 2 months ago

Cuvée St. Vincent Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Champagne 1996

This is a special champagne. Aged so gracefully. In a 2nd maturation phase that is getting the caramel flavors out. I should have bought a lot more. This is worth every penny if you can find it. — 2 years ago

Clos Saint-Vincent

St. Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend 1993

1993 vintage. Medium garnet, slight amber at the rim. Medium fruit, very smooth, with some tartness in the finish. 12% ABV. From the FIL’s collection. Another bottle that maybe should have been pulled a little earlier, but was very nice with garlic & rosemary crusted roast. — 5 years ago

This was surprisingly delicious. Beautiful fruit up front. So typically ‘clos de la Roche’ showing beautifully. I can still taste it — 3 months ago

R. & L. Legras

Cuvée St. Vincent Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Champagne Chardonnay 2008

Medium straw with green tinges. Nice persistent perlage and pleasant creaminess. The nose is pure bliss. Caramel with butter, apricots and pears, honey and apples. Fragrant floral notes along with warm brioche and sea spray.

A very stately and baronial wine from Chouilly in the Côte des Blancs. Rich and well developed at this point. The minerality is so good and the acidity just right. Precise and concentrated with all the depth that you would expect. Very lively and powerful.

The palate follows the nose with honey dipped apples and cinnamon. Chalky notes mingle with the electric citrus fruit. Long, long finish that just keeps going on and on. This still hasn’t hit its peak, it has miles to go.
