Ample aroma including forest herb. Plum, raspberry, strawberry, cranberry etc. various red berry. Elegant. Like a feeling where I am. 2 hours, fruity and concentrated. Domaine Glantenay Pommard Pinot Noir 2016 @1890, Kping -, 220426-220514 — 4 years ago
Cherry, earth, hay and a bit of a mineral thing with pencil lead. Superb palate with a strong acid backbone, a irony touch along with cherry, a very dry and and hard touch on the sides and some harsh tannins that need a bit of aging to resolve. Then comes a long finish with cherry and a touch of bitterness and some nice roundness coming up at last! I love burgundy this good but this one needs a couple of additional years to be at peak. — 7 years ago
Beautiful red plums, red raspberry and herb notes like lavender and thyme. Best paired with food. — 8 years ago

The perfect old world Pinot for $61/bottle. Purchased at While Foods off Cambie St. — 2 years ago
Still very pale and not evolved. The rich material and high acidities have not converged yet. The fruit here is not as pristine as those from the likes of Fichet and Montille. — 6 years ago
These wines take a while to open up but once it happens there is some type of magic. The nose is stunning with a mix of red fruits that are fresh and ripe, herbaceous notes, and earthy tones, black tea and minuscule hints of leather. The plate is sheer elegance, the fruits show tart the flowers and herbs sing fresh and the texture is classic burgundy. — 6 years ago
Hard not to recommend this one. Entry level burgundy that is performing way above it’s status . Excellent wine. — 7 years ago
Beautiful wine suffused with sour cherry, black raspberry, apple wood, moss, all well blended. Bright with tannins and can age but was still delicious -- perfect for Christmas Eve dinner. Perhaps the best wine I had this year. — 11 years ago
Slightly more mass than the energy — 5 years ago
Nose of dark fruit, dark cherries, boysenberries, spices, slightly earthy with some flowery violet hints. The palate is rich, medium plus bodied with the acidity slightly backward without affecting the balance too much, nice fruit on the decent length finish.
Nez de fruits noirs, cerises, mures, épices, terreux et un peu de violettes. La bouche est assez pleine et riche, de puissance moyenne plus, acidité plus en retrait mais sans être pataud, beau fruit en bouche et assez longue finale. 90-91

Seamless with nice finish — 7 years ago
Not fully in the zone yet but drinking very well nonetheless. Licorice and balsamic notes on the nose, almost Nebbiolo like. Full flavored, with secondary layers emerging. — 10 years ago
Powerful and rich, a serious wine which had us all thinking new world. Gripping tannins and a great finish was a delight — 11 years ago
