Black cherry, herbs, tobacco, spice. Nice Eola-Amity Hills Pinot, although lacking in complexity and structure. Good QPR. — 8 years ago
Decanted 20-minutes before drinking. Fruit getting a little muted. Silky tannins, balanced paired well with steak salad, nice forest floor, little leather, & tobacco, almost had a hint of Rutherford dust, with is not typical of this mountain fruit. Never disappointed in opening a D.C. Quality! @DCWFC — 9 years ago
Fruit forward--cherries and red plum, faint spicines or note of cacao. Silky palate, long finish.

Drank on the train to D.C. Delish! Needed a little time to open up. Right on the edge of funky town. But pretty easy drinking. Little leather, some fruits, hints of barnyard. — 9 years ago

The ratings and notes on this wine were surprisingly low. I decanted the wine for a little over an hour and a half and thought it showed very well. Not necessarily the most complex Brunello, but a good value, fruit, and tanins. I bought it from Weygandt in D.C. on a whim and will definitely be going back for more. Excellent Brunello. Well structured wine with silky mouthfeel. Nicely balanced with cherry fruit, herbal notes and hints of cigar box. Noteworthy for its finesse. Paired extremely well with a great meal. Wine Spectator awarded 95 points. — 8 years ago
Warm up for #natdiego weekend. 10-day macerated Pinot Grigio. A pink-lemonade dry pet-nat that beats the heat. IT'S ALIVE! @D.C. Looney — 9 years ago
