Greatest bottle of Jamet I’ve had in a long time.
I don’t have much experience with the 2000 vintage. I don’t recall it being so utterly spectacular as this bottle. The only other Jamet that has come close in terms of pleasure is the 1995. But whereas that vintage is characterized by beauty, elegance and bright red fruit, the 2000 was all iron, blood, dark fruit, and savage energy. — a month ago
Fabulous still Pinot Noir in the style of Coteaux Champenois from sparkling winemaker Michael Cruse. 2014 vintage was fresh and lively. — 4 months ago
Back on the diet.
The 2011 Jamet CR is one of the most consistent wines I’ve ever had. Over the course of about a dozen bottles, it was remained the same - pure, aromatic, drinkable and fresh. This was the first bottle I’ve had in a few months. It still has many of the qualities of earlier bottles, but there’s an intimation of maturity in the more complex aromatics and more supple tannins. — 3 months ago
