ask the wine guy for something unusual, something off the beaten path and he recommends this delicious dry 100% Palomino w/some bottle age: definitely a food wine, light greenish straw color w/fairly austere nose full of minerals, lanolin, herbaceous musk, white flowers (jasmine), ginger & some spices. on palate it is rigid & angular, zesty acidity, some citrus but mostly minerals & herbs, quinine, screams for briny foods - we had this w/deli section fare & salad. — 6 months ago

Nice and dry. Lots of ox. Nutty, light caramel. — 4 months ago
Modern, fresh, fruity, different beast than Cvne or LRA but I’m into it. — 6 months ago
Very tasty aged Portuguese red. If I had it blind, I would guess Northern Spanish - Ribera del Duero or Rioja. Smooth and slightly musty/earthy from the age (got some cork crumbles). Opens pretty quickly, with concentrated red fruit and some blackberry. Pleasant tannic grip with a soft texture. Bold flavor throughout, big body (14.5% abv), some pepper and dry grass on a savory finish. Nice for a reasonable price. — a year ago
Very very good, also sweet — 2 years ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple hours. The 2020 pours a deep garnet color with a translucent core; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe and tart fruits: Morello cherry, raspberry, cranberry, roses, tar, cool spices and dry earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with high tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. I found this bottle to be a little shy for the first 30min or so but opened up nicely by the end of our meal. Drink now through 2040. — 5 months ago

2019 vintage. Last tasted two years ago 4.3.24 (9.4). Dusty, decaying rose petals in the nose with a hint of quality dark chocolate. Medium body. Pink peppercorns aplenty, some tar, some grilled green onion, orange citrus influence (tangerine?) and Luxardo cherry reduction in the flavors. Only 4 bottles left on the list at $125 a bottle. May hafta take it off the list and buy it all. Currently occupying that weird Barolo space between drinkability and don't you dare. Flashing those tannic, Wolverine adamantium claws now. Leaning more towards the don't even think about it, Bub. This was delicious tho. 4.6.26. — 5 days ago
