Winestules bottle. Very vibrant and deep — 5 days ago
Dark Ruby color with aromas of berry fruit with earthy spice tones. On the palate cherry and blackberry flavors with pepper spice, tobacco and cacao on fine dusty tannins. Medium+ finish, nice mouthfeel, ending with fruit and an oak mineral character. — 3 months ago
It is time for some Merlot on this #MerlotThursday. Let's bring Merlot back!
Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Fruity nose and medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing red and black fruits with cedar, licorice, chocolates, coffee, peppercorn, earth and black tea.
Nice length on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
This 10 year old Merlot from Saint Emilion still feels young. Drinking very nicely now, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.
This second wine is good right out of the bottle, and much better after a couple of hours of airtime.
Wine Spectator 91 points. Wine Advocate 92 points.
A nice sipping wine that will also pair nicely with food.
A blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc. Aged for 22 months in all new French oak barrels.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
91 points.

Beautiful nose on this, remembering why I bought this while in the tasting room in Sta. Rita Hills (nice little spot in Los Olivos, highly recommend). Med+ intensity on the nose with bright cherry and strawberry. A bit of cedar/vanilla, but not much. Floral notes that almost turn to candy or runts. Nice on the palate too with a big pop of red fruit, med+ acidity and nice fine, integrated tannins. Long finish that sort of turns from sweet to tart cherry. Just a really nice wine. I scored a 93 but guessing this will improve and become a bit more elegant with a few more years. — 2 months ago
Jammy red fruits, balanced acidity, beautiful — 6 months ago
Powerful wine representative of Margaux - graphite, vanilla, smoke, and dark red and black fruit. Still showing plenty of tannic structure. Lots of cellar life remains for this vintage! — 10 days ago
Tobacco and black currants classy and elegant. Showed well amongst impressive wines. — 2 months ago
Nice fragrance, and great long finish. — 4 months ago
Bruised apple, ripe pineapple, chamomile, white lilies, smokey, a hint of flint stone. Luscious and sophisticated, we really loved this wine. Looking forward to tasting other vintages. — 7 months ago
