Nice fragrance, and great long finish. — 3 months ago
Bruised apple, ripe pineapple, chamomile, white lilies, smokey, a hint of flint stone. Luscious and sophisticated, we really loved this wine. Looking forward to tasting other vintages. — 6 months ago

Beautiful nose on this, remembering why I bought this while in the tasting room in Sta. Rita Hills (nice little spot in Los Olivos, highly recommend). Med+ intensity on the nose with bright cherry and strawberry. A bit of cedar/vanilla, but not much. Floral notes that almost turn to candy or runts. Nice on the palate too with a big pop of red fruit, med+ acidity and nice fine, integrated tannins. Long finish that sort of turns from sweet to tart cherry. Just a really nice wine. I scored a 93 but guessing this will improve and become a bit more elegant with a few more years. — a month ago

Tobacco and black currants classy and elegant. Showed well amongst impressive wines. — 23 days ago
Dark Ruby color with aromas of berry fruit with earthy spice tones. On the palate cherry and blackberry flavors with pepper spice, tobacco and cacao on fine dusty tannins. Medium+ finish, nice mouthfeel, ending with fruit and an oak mineral character. — 2 months ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple hours. The 2010 “Virginie de Valandraud” pours a deep purple/garnet color with an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is vinous with powerful notes of cassis, dark brambles, black cherries, cocoa, purple flowers, leather, tobacco, a mix cool and gentle warm spices and earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin (integrated) and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. This is showing really well. Drink now through 2035. — 8 days ago
