Shy on the nose with some white peach, quince gelée, ripe lime. On the palate this opens up showing the beautiful contradiction of Riesling. This is rich yet tightly wound around a core of mineral acidity. Around this are layers of peach & lemon with a pinch of spicy herbs. Poised and with depth. A very, very nice one. — 4 years ago

Not Burgundy. Not New World. This is German Chardonnay from one of the first to plant it. This 13 year old hasn’t improved much over time but it hasn’t declined either. Gold-bronze color, baked apple pie, medium-full body, fine acid backbone. — 4 years ago

2017 vintage. Surprisingly golden in color, considering its youth. Petrol and white floral notes on the nose, lots of acidity in the palate. Good concentration, with melon, green apple, lime, white nectarine, honeysuckle, little bit of green. Sweetness is very discreet. — 4 years ago
