See previous Delectable Notes from June 2020. Very dark Ruby in colour. Ripe cherry and liquorice on nose and palate - cherry skins. A medium weight palate finishing with fine powdery tannins. Dolcetto is essentially a simple wine (went well with Quiche) but when made by a producer of the reputation of G D Vajra its a particularly good representation of the grape. See previous note from October 2021, 48 weeks ago. Not sure I’ve ever got my head around the characteristics of Dolcetto - like a detuned Nebbiolo. Notes as previous with fine chalky tannins. — 5 years ago

Bit sweet no burn but a warming feel. Has a pleasant finish with no alcohol burn. My Russian friends prefer a bit more punch. Comes in an amazing case for the bottle which is all you are really buying. The bottle itself is ridiculously heavy as well with a replacement top for later use as a cognac decanter. — a year ago

This is really good moscato d' asti. The trick is sweet but not too sweet, fizz but not too much fizz, and a little nuance on the nose - chalk, vanilla, parchment paper. Hits all three. With Sayer on the porch. — 5 years ago
