See previous Delectable Notes from June 2020. Very dark Ruby in colour. Ripe cherry and liquorice on nose and palate - cherry skins. A medium weight palate finishing with fine powdery tannins. Dolcetto is essentially a simple wine (went well with Quiche) but when made by a producer of the reputation of G D Vajra its a particularly good representation of the grape. See previous note from October 2021, 48 weeks ago. Not sure I’ve ever got my head around the characteristics of Dolcetto - like a detuned Nebbiolo. Notes as previous with fine chalky tannins. — 3 years ago

This is our all time favorite Muscato d Asti and always ensure that I have a few bottles in my cellar. — 3 years ago
This is really good moscato d' asti. The trick is sweet but not too sweet, fizz but not too much fizz, and a little nuance on the nose - chalk, vanilla, parchment paper. Hits all three. With Sayer on the porch. — 3 years ago
Zoom event with Drew Bledsoe and Josh McDaniels. Vertical from ‘07, ‘14, ‘15, ‘16, ‘17, ‘17 estate, and ‘18. All were exceptionally smooth and silky with good depth of fruit. Notes on the ‘16:: drinking really well. 89% CS, 4% PV, 4% Malbec, 3% merlot. Well balanced. Reminded me a bit of a Cos ‘d Estournel with a mix of red fruit, earth and pencil lead on the nose. The wine tended toward the earthy side on the palate and had a super long balanced finish that ended with a touch of spice. — 3 years ago
This wine would deserve more reputatuon in my personal opinion.
If you don't know that it ages in clay amphora on the skin for quote a long time, if you don't know that is biodynamic and that altogether there very minimal intervention in the whole process you would just go...WOW!!! It reminds a Chassagne-Montrachet for elegance and balance, a good one i mean
Complexity is there, easy drinking and potential to age. Quite long too. What more do we want? Price for the quality is fair, not cheap, bit not overly expensive(arou d 40euros served in a restaurant) — 2 years ago
Great deal for $50. Would absolutely get again. Bell pepper a d leather in a great Cab Franc kind of way. — 3 years ago
