We are at the start of yet another weekend and I welcome it with open arms. I have opened the 2015 Château Malescot St. Exupéry Margaux. This wine is 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot.

The nose is very expressive with full dark fruit, black cherry, black plum, blackberry, black currant, violet, menthol, mocha, roasted herbs and a rich earthiness.

The palate gives up the same beautiful dark fruit, black cherry, blackberry, black currant, menthol, licorice, herbs, asparagus, graphite and rich earth.

This is a wonderfully balanced full bodied supple mouth feel with medium + acidity and medium + smooth mouth coating tannins that leads to a long dark fruit filled finish. Enjoy your weekend, be safe and please be kind to one another. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Pencil lead, tar, tobacco with dark fruit. Smooth with sweet tannins.

I never had the experience of what a real “silky” tannin was. This changed my impression of where a wine can go.

Cherry and black currant in the nose and palate. So earthy. Med acid. Strong finish. Very good
