A truly peppery wine with hints of nut. Goes really well with a matured bbq steak and flavoured butter. — 6 years ago
2010 Bordeaux for $17? Crazy value. Dark fruit, spice and great depth. Magical with beef stew. — 9 years ago
Fun wine! Tannins were but a mere shadow in a mid-day decadence. Light and playful.. — 11 years ago
Washed out now. Not much going on. Asleep. — 3 months ago
2020 vintage. Popped and poured. Medium-heavy body. Rich, velveteen, smooth nose and proceedings with nary a speed bump. Some necessary dark cherry flavors initially to lend acidity since the back-end tannins are out to lunch. Correspondingly, no tannins and drinking pretty well currently. Can it get better? I could see it hitting a 9.5 in the next decade but that would be the ceiling. Prob settles in best at a 9.4. *edit* tasted 8 hours later after simply placing the cork back in the bottle and rating it a 9.4. Showing more depth/subtleties. Decant this bad bad boy or open well in advance. 10.8.25. — 9 months ago

40% Syrah, 20% Grenache, 20% Mourvèdre, 10% Cinsault, 10% Carignan from Languedoc- Roussillon. Easy drinking with big flavors of dark fruit of black currant, black berry, and spicy root beer-like flavors — 6 years ago

Hadn’t tasted Audoin in many, many years, so I was genuinely curious to come back to him. This absolutely blew my mind. Incredible fruit purity, lifted and precise without getting precious, and probably the best Fixin I’ve ever had. One of those bottles that makes you sit up a little straighter and recalibrate the whole appellation. — 3 months ago
