Omg this is amazing. It’s not like any other rose I’ve had. It has nice florals and mouthfeel with a creaminess you don’t find in other rose’s. Absolutely love this. Magnum L13/12 CV — 5 years ago

CV 17 50 Excellent. Super tiny persistent bubbles. Great minerality and impeccably dry. — 2 years ago
A quick CV tasting with Margaret L on her return trip stopover. Excellent example with lively and softish textures and long finish. Opened 10/19/24 dinner with David. Still tasting the same, with Evans pork — 2 years ago
— 6 years ago

A quick CV tasting with Margaret L on her return trip stopover. Sage Forest leaves and earth on nose and lively palate. Complex finish. Deeper and denser than the regular 2007 — 2 years ago
Very nice. Great with food. CV — 5 years ago
Made from low yielding 90-year old vines, deep Ruby with aromas of red/black fruits and floral spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry and plum with cacao, black pepper and floral citrus. Firm tannins on a long finish ending with fruit and mineral character. Nice but needs a few years in big the bottle!! — 6 years ago
Funky, light orange wine. Simple. Delicious. Crowd Pleaser. — 6 years ago
When cellar aging make good into great! Such concentration and purity...taste/profile that rivals VA’s 1st cru’s! Wait, Shep might as well be in that discussion based on his CV @ the rockbridge property! — 6 years ago
Lousas from Envinate, vinas de aldea CV (Cuvée Viticole). Color: Dark ruby to pale garnet around the rim. Nose: red fruit and pepper, blackberry fruit, hot spices (cinnamon, cloves, and black pepper). Kind of a hearty nose, like the smell of spices from a hearty chili.

I have not had many mencia before, so can’t really present a fair comparison. This is how I compartmentalize this wine: It has the structure of a well-made Burgundy minus the telltale leather flavors of a pinot noir. Other than that, the earthiness and the tannins and the length are simply majestic like the best of burgundy... but which Burgundy? I can’t tell, @brianmcclinticms, any thoughts?

@viticolewine great collaboration with Envinate, keep ‘em coming. Migan (La Habanera) was out of this world, and this one keeps growing on me! — 7 years ago
Back to everyday wines Bordeaux CVed 11/13/17. JR wine. Floral earthy nose and great balanced palate and good finish. Good value at less than twenty. Opened 2/19/18. Nose has some oxidative resin sherry notes that's not bad but makes you wonder about CV (bit of cork stain from the CV). Still a lively ave good wine. — 9 years ago

A perfect balance between oak and fruit (blackberry) from this Barossa Shiraz. Great winemaking from John Duval who has quite the CV. John was Chief Winemaker at Penfolds from 1986 until 2002 being only the 3rd custodian of Penfolds Grange after Max Schubert (creator of Grange) and Don Ditter. In 2020 this wine received Shiraz of the Year and 99 points from the James Halliday Wine Companion. The product of old vines in the Barossa. Luscious but in balance and overall - delicious. — 8 months ago
