From the slopes of Monte Gorna, south-east side of Mount Etna, made with the local grape Carricante, medium lemon color with aromas of stone fruit, citrus and honey floral notes. On the palate flavors of apple and pear with slight citrus and vanilla notes. Good acidity, balance and structure, medium+ finish ending with salty mineral character. Very Nice! — 2 years ago

Etna: Poured into a decanter about an hour prior to service; enjoyed over the course of dinner. The 2021 pours a deep garnet color with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears and some fine sediment. On the nose, the wine is developing with Bing cherry, Asian five spice, porchini, oregano, crushed gravel and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. Another stunner from this incredible, own-rooted parcel in the Calderara Sottana contrada featuring vines over 140 years old. Insane. Drink now with some air and through 2041. — 2 days ago

開店した年の記念VT。
少しガーネット色。もう少し甘さのある感じかと思いきや、結構ドライというか冷涼感のある味わいで、すごく繊細で透明感のある印象。
かと言って、厳格かとかタイトかと言われたらそんなことはなく、すごく優美でスムーズな感じ。
ホワイトペッパーや、白い花、ドライフラワー。

エリオアルターレのバローロ アルボリーナ2014の雰囲気にかなり近い。
グラーチがバローロのコレクターらしいし、実際に味わい的にもベンチマークとしているのかも。
