2020 - vintage - Touriga Nacional-35%, Alfrocheiro-35% -Tinta Roriz-30% ( also known as Tempernillo) I have mixed feelings about this wine - very dark color - not a lot of oak aging here with these tannic varieties but the aromas are nice leafy big blackberry fruit , coca powder medium plus tannins , medium acidity ,13 %ABV (seems like I would enjoy this more with extended barrel aging) still for the price point very enjoyable. — a year ago
Vibrant aromas of red cherries and dark cherries, a touch of Coca-Cola which I always associate to cherries and the “élevage”, spices and some earthy tones too. The palate is great, fresh, fairly powerful, the fruit has energy and the strong finish is delicious and has very good length. Serious stuff, good now and built for the long haul. 93-94
Un nez moyennement aromatique au départ mais qui s’ouvre de façon éclatante sur des griottes, du coca-cola un peu, des épices douces et un petit côté terreux. La bouche est puissante et fine, une belle texture de tannins qui accompagne ce fruit énergique, belle fraîcheur et finesse aussi avec une finale puissante, de belle longueur et délicieuse.
