This is a very pretty wine. Light color, but so fragrant, with sappy cherry/kirsch and a little raspberry, plus a highly-saline crushed stone minerality and a musky floral note. Flavorful but light-footed in the mouth. Crisp acids and little chalky tannin keep things together. Great with take-out Chinese food tonight! — 10 months ago
For me, one of the great wines of France. The 18 is better than 15. Nose that = First Growth Bordeaux. Stunning stunning nose of wet earth, moss, licorice, red currants, white pepper, lavender, herbs, clay, granite, graphite and so much more. Maybe even Parker’s favorite, creosote. A mesmerizing nose of elite quality. 9.8. Just an insane palate. Velvety, concentrated and with elite finesse. Sappy and pure. A bit clipped on the finish but wow is this all classy. Red fruits and melty tannins. Amazing purity and a lovely creamy effect in the midpalate. A stunning wine. With air (2+ hours) this gets so nimble, silky and elegant. This is just magic. 9.7 to 9.8. — 2 years ago
Carignan wine in carbonic maceration. Light garnet dress. Hyper expressive nose between black and red fruits, flowers, and roasted aromas cocoa, licorice. Silky, airy mouth, wines with a non-interventionist spirit. A beautiful glouglou, evoking the spirit of Beaujolais wines, very accessible, well foreshadowing the more elaborate cuvées of the estate.
Un Carignan en macération carbonique. Robe grenat claire. — 2 years ago
Old Vine Pinot. Indelicate bouquet and slight tannic structure. — 2 years ago
Father’s Day at Jane for mom bd. Jordon knows and likes this wine. More like a Burg in its complexity and balance and light footed profile. Yum. — 3 years ago

One of the great overlooked wines of the wine world. Nose is extraordinary. Dark berry fruit that is so fine and so clear. Tweed jacket. Licorice and minerals. Earthy. So complex and expansive. Just incredible. So defined. Some clay and graphite are coming through now. Palate is pure silken Malbec as if sent down by the Malbec Gods. Superb freshness and concentration with extremely intense minerality but not fierce. Soft but firm. Wonderful classical structure and top notch purity. There is awesome red berry fruit but needs air to come around and become fuller and more expressive. Gorgeously clear and ripe tannins. Teeming with energy. I’ll be back as it airs. Now with air the finesse kicks in and it’s just so fine. The nose gets super floral. 9.5 to 9.6. — 7 months ago
