Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of two days. Both days outstanding but slightly different experiences. Day 1 was about power. Day 2 was about balance. The 2020 “Cuvée Réservée” pours a brilliant garnet with a translucent core; medium+ viscosity with light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with heady, slightly funky notes of ripe brambles, garrigue, red & purple flowers, bacon fat, licorice, and dry rocky earth. On Day 2, everything was more open nit and the fruit showed more bruised with a slightly stewed profile. Lavender was the predominate floral profile too. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. This is textbook Pégau and I love it. Drink now through 2045+ — 4 months ago

A wonderful mature and complex nose of cherries , plums , dried leaves and leather. What pleased me the most was the lack of alcohol aromas given the warmth of the vintage . Just as pleasing was the lack of alcohol on the palate. The weight of the wine on the palate I’m sure was the result of the vintage. Cherries, plums and tobacco flavors were in harmony. Tannins lingered. If I had a “nit” it was the lack of great complexity on the palate.. — 9 months ago

Fantastic aromatic nose with ripe black and red berries fruits, blue berries, spice, very fine cedar, authum forest, fine herbal touch, layered fruit flavors on the full bodied palate, juicy fruits, earth, impeccable balance, fine ripe tannin, crisp acidity, long creamy yummy aftertaste!

Super dry, super crisp, super mineral/chalky, strong bubbles. Pale salmon and golden in color. Bitters on the finish. Good aperitif with a charcuterie plate. It’s very bracing, nice pairing with richer foods. Thanks Pepe — 6 months ago

What a sublime wine!

Light gravelly fruit wafts.
This garnacha is a joy to drink, very unique terroir and production. Alpine berry, menthol lite, fresh pomegranate ( Sans seed).
I wish I bought a case.
