Medium gold color. Light tiny bubbles. Notes of green apples, bread yeast, some citrus and citrus pit, and river stones. Modest in the mouth at first but with air this grew up and improved. Maybe a touch past its prime but a good start to the evening… (Bday 1 of 12) — 3 years ago
Central Coast. Blend of Gewürtztraminer, Riesling and Muscat. Pale yellow white. Some floral character in nose. Crisp, some sweetness, wood, spice and orange-lemon floral flavors. Overwhelmed by the South Indian curry we paired it with, but tasty on its own — 5 years ago
Fabulous. Paired with lobster. Fresh and refreshing. Right up there with Cristal and Pol Roger Winston Churchill as my favorite champagne. — 10 months ago
The bottled aged considerably since the last time I drank, was much bigger in profile than I remember and was more Krug and Sir Winston Churchill like this time around with still all of the minerality you could ask for. Love me the Agrapart! — 2 years ago
Popped this in anticipation of an Australian victory over England in the Rugby World Cup quarter final when we trailed 17-16 in the 2nd half. However we ended up getting trounced 40-16. This Champers was mid Lemon Gold with an ultra fine bead. Funky lemon mineral notes with apple pie pastry. Even at 17 years good tension with possibly another 10 years of cellaring. Although pretty irresistible right now. As Churchill said You deserve Champagne in victory and you need it in defeat! — 5 years ago
26 degrees rainy evening in Singapore! Fresh lively citrus champagne and a hint of pandan. Went Super well with black pepper and deep fried salted egg crabs, local Singapore style of course! If only Winston Churchill did the same. — 4 years ago
Flirty, slightly funky per nat. Perfect over a chat, rather than paired with food. From Sauvage, Churchill in Phoenix with Rob and Aaron — 5 years ago
Vino Joe
This was a slight off bottle. Enjoyable as always but lacked the rich textured complexity I was expecting for a mature bottle. It was less dense than prior experiences. — 9 days ago
