100 year anniversary ... not of the winery, but of the acquisition of the winery by the Cordier family--France is unreal! Deeply extracted, royal purple, opaque, medium plus to full bodied. Red cherry dominated on open but after an hour blackberry has taken over. Spices and a hint of vanilla in the background. Medium plus alcohol 14.5. Medium acidity. Tannins are still biting a bit. Super long length. I would recommend holding this at least another 2-3 years. The tannins will soften, and I suspect we will enjoy some tertiary flavors from the spiced vanilla that remains.

Black cherry and coffee with a touch of cola. — 10 months ago
A very enjoyable off the shelf back vintage here. Nothing terribly complex, but balance point has held up wonderfully after a decade in the bottle. — 2 years ago
Apple, lemon curd, dried apricot, honey and blood orange. Bright acidity and good minerality. — 4 years ago
It’s getting into the zone now.
Jeb 98, not sure any Myriad Syrah received that high of rating, but it is Jeb🤷🏼♂️
According to Jeb, Along with the 2013, the 2016 Syrah Judge Family Vineyard is up with the greats, and I’d put this up against any Syrah in California or France. Offering incredible purity of fruit as well as notes of blueberries, blackberries, crushed flowers, gamey meats, and pepper, it’s more forward and opulent than the 2015 yet has fabulous depth and concentration, ripe tannins, and a finish that won’t quit. Hats off to Tynan for another insanely good Syrah that can be drunk today or cellared for 20 years or more. — 5 years ago
A wonderful Riesling... not over the top sweet /fruity. Perfect with brats tonight. July 2020. — 6 years ago
1 hour decant(lots of sediment). A wonderful inky dark purplish garnet color. On the nose: Intense notes of black and blue fruit, herbaceous, tobacco leaf, pencil shavings, forest floor. Taste: rich, velvety, harmonious mouthcoating wine with blackberry, currants, chocolate espresso, graphite, and a spiced-charred wood- dark cherry long finish. YUM!! — 2 months ago

Cherry, raspberry, hints of cola and eucalyptus. Others said loamy soil, and now I have a better way to describe the earthiness of wines like this. Balanced and pairs beautifully with salmon and lentils. — 5 months ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple hours. “Le Sucrier Velours” pours a deep ruby/purple with an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears and some sediment. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe and tart brambles, currants, fig, blueberries, tobacco, Serrano pepper, red and purple flowers, a mix of organic and inorganic earth, along with cool and warm spices. At this stage, the pyrazines seem to overshadow the rotundone. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. This has aged very nicely and was lovely with burgers. Drink now through 2031. — 24 days ago
