Quite nice with Pierre Franey roasted chicken and tian ($14) — 3 years ago
Surprisingly good. Crisp, light/medium body, and strong citrus notes. Very easy drinking; paired well with a simple chicken and broccoli stir-fry.
Good candidate for an "everyday" wine. Feels like it would pair well with a wide range of dishes. — 4 years ago
100% Syrah. This is a very inexpensive Cotes but 2019 was a banner year. Velvety and full bodied. Notes of black cherry, graphite and cocoa powder. Medium tannins brings a decent finish. Nicely paired with a spicy grilled chicken. — 7 months ago
Delectable NZ Sauvignon Blanc with pan seared salmon fillets ($19). Lovely floral nose. Wonderful with Chicken and linguini as well. Back in stock at the wine store and will buy more. — 3 years ago
The only Chardonnay I’ve liked. Drank a 2013 aged for 10 years. Syrupy, oaky, sweet, paired great with a roast chicken. — 3 years ago

Great with Wedge Salad, Grilled Shrimp and Chicken Tortilla Soup — 2 years ago

Dreamy is the word that comes to mind as the 2018 Vigna la Miccia Marsala Superiore Oro wafts up with a decadent blend of roasted almonds and hazelnuts, complicated by gingery spice and baked peaches. This opens with a pretty inner sweetness and oily textures that are perfectly offset by notes of spiced citrus, cloves, cedar and a bitter tinge of coffee grounds. It cleans up beautifully, ridiculously long and staining yet still fresh, leaving hints of cocoa and butterscotch to linger on the finish. (Eric Guido, Vinous, June 2024)

"Odedi"
Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Sweet nose of black fruits, cedar, vanilla, licorice, spices, chocolates, tobacco and black pepper.
Full bodied and elegant with medium acidity and long legs
Dry on the palate with black currants, plums, cooked cherries, light cedar, licorice, chocolates, coffee, light earth and peppercorn.
Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and cherries.
This 9 year old Zinfandel from Napa Valley is drinking beautifully now. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel, complex and entertaining.
Drinking at its peak, and will continue to drink nicely in the next few years. Tangy and spicy, rich and inviting.
I had this vintage 7 years ago, and it is drinking much better now.
