Colene Clemens Vineyards

Margo Chehalem Mountains Pinot Noir 2017

Named after Colene’s great granddaughter, medium Ruby with aromas of berry fruit and sweet nutty spice aromas. On the palate ripe strawberry and cherry fruit flavors with tea and licorice notes, lively acidity adding herb spices. Long finish, dry tannins that need some time, ending with bright mineral tones. Nice, still can cellar for a few years. Small production. — 18 days ago

Estate Dopp Creek Pinot Noir 2021

Delectable Wine

The 2021 Pinot Noir Estate Dopp Creek opens with a dark, dusty bouquet blending cedar shavings and brown spice with blood orange and sour cherries. Softly textured and round, it opens with a pretty inner sweetness complementing rose-tinged red fruits. It finishes fresh with a raspberry and licorice tinge as a bump of residual acidity adds a lasting, lively character. (Eric Guido, Vinous, January 2024)

Ridgecrest Pinot Noir 2008

Tom Elliot

Earthy, meaty, leathery, darkly fruited. Class, breed, finesse. Classic old school Ribbon Ridge Pinot. This wine needed these 15 years to express all that. I expect at least another five years of aging potential. — 4 months ago

Tears of Vulcan Viognier Blend 2022

New vintage, 46/44/10 blend of Viognier, Pinot Gris and Muscat. Honey golden yellow, very good clarity. Slight sulfite on nose. Dry, flavors interpolate between the Pinot Gris and Viognier. Didn’t pick up much of the Muscat. Moderate skin astringency on the finish (bear in mind this is an orange wine). Floral, linalool and passion fruit flavors. Give the tannins a little time to soften. Dry as the Gobi Desert, so pair it with something tasty. Cheese? Fries? Something… — 23 days ago

Patricia Green Cellars

Olenik Chehalem Mountain Pinot Noir 2012

The 2012 Patricia Green Cellars Olenik Pinot Noir. From Chehalem Mountain Newberg, Oregon.

On the nose this had strawberry, stewed plum, licorice, spice, vanilla, forest floor and earth.

On the palate there was cherry, strawberry, mushroom, leather, black tea and undergrowth.

This wine is medium bodied with medium to medium + acidity and medium fine tannins that mive into a medium to long mushroom earthy finish. I hope everyone is well? I just came off a 2 and a half week bought of a head cold. I hope you have had a wonderful weekend. Please have agreat week ahead. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Silice Pinot Noir 2021

Delectable Wine

The 2021 Pinot Noir Silice lifts from the glass, delicate and wonderfully fresh, casting dusty dried flowers and hints of star anise, cinnamon, and wild strawberries to form its darkly alluring bouquet. Cool-toned and wickedly fresh, it cascades across the palate with crunchy wild berries propelled by zesty acidity as salty florals come forward. It finishes tannic, yet sweet and round, tapering off quickly to leave touches of licorice and inner rose. (Eric Guido, Vinous, January 2024)
