Grenache/Mourvèdre based rose with some additional Rhone varietals blended in. Bright garnet color. Aromas of black cherry, ripe plum and minerals. Same fruits on the palate with additional notes of black licorice and wet soil. Powerful and pretty well balanced. Abundant texture and acidity. — 8 months ago
Wonderful combination of bright fruit and structure. People sometimes forget that rosés are red wines, but this wine was a wonderful partner for a roast lamb and eggplant dish. Have this wine with food, and enjoy! — 2 years ago
v22. Very good! Candied strawberry nose. Luscious blend of strawberry, raspberry and black cherry fruit. Full, clean, slightly tart finish. Enjoyable! — 7 months ago
Very nice rose that tastes and acts like a white wine. — 8 months ago
This is a red wine lovers rose from the esteemed region of Tavel in the Southern Rhone. The region is dedicated exclusively to rose wine. On the eye the wine has a deep pink colour; the scents are pronounced with ripe strawberry and raspberry. On the palate the wine is dry, full bodied, with good tannins (for a rose), medium alcohol, medium acidity, and medium flavour intensity of ripe wild berries and fresh watermelon, and a decadent fizzy finish.
You want to serve it chilled and paired with rich fish, pork, or bbq (my favorite). This is a very good quality rose.
The kind of rose I’d like to lie down and taste in a decade or so, partly because it has that potential and partly because I’d love to see the evolution of the wine over time.
