Rose des Riceys, though produced in the Champagne region, is not “Champagne” d the word appears nowhere in the appellation. Not sure why Delectable calls it that. Anyway…
Transparent dark ruby. Inviting nose of Marasca cherries. Fruity (evidence of carbonic maceration) medium palate confirms the nose adding a very slight hint of tannin on the short-ish finish. Medium- acidity: just enough to keep it food friendly. This limited production still rose (actually a light red) shows well in this iteration. The style lends itself well to spicy foods (we had tandoori chicken and salmon) and light snack fare. Drink now. — 7 months ago
Lean complex mineral long finish. Would like to let this sit for a while longer before trying the next bottle. The freshness of it is honestly a little overwhelming would love to see it expand in the bottle a little more. Excellent nonetheless. — 6 years ago
Excellent. Cold climate Chardonnay if I’ve ever had it! Minerals and acid minerals and acid minerals and acid! Love it — 6 years ago
Recall this being distinctly chalky but pleasantly so. Not much else stood out. Ok for the price but had a similarly priced champagne a few nights later that I enjoyed more. — 7 months ago
Reductions notes along with lees, lemon, lime, minerals, gunpowder, and pineapple. Fine bubbles and a long finish. Delicious. — 3 years ago

Loved it, fruit balance more stone and acidity than bread. Lovely aperitif on Christmas Eve. — 7 months ago
