Château Piney

Château Piney

St. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend 2019

Dark ruby color. Lovely aromas of cigar box, leather and blue/black berries. Dark berries on the palate with notes of tobacco, dark chocolate, sweet spices and leather. Touch of mineral on the long and lingering finish. Tannins are quite firm and the wine is beautifully balanced. Powerful yet elegant. Thank you for sharing, Keith S! Revisited in March 2024. — 2 months ago

Domaine Chamonard

Fleurie Gamay 2018

Still crushing it, this wine presents now with dark black cherry, lavender, a slight vinyl/inflatable pool toy note Gamay tends to give me, and plenty of herbal/piney deliciousness on the palate. Sappy but cut by a well integrated minerality. — 3 years ago

Lovely yellows, very focused, good piney peppery finish. Complex and slightly buttery. Drinking beautifully with sautéed sole. $26 Fass selections, 2016. Yumbo, bitches. — 4 years ago

Me love you long time.

Love and Squalor

Riesling 2015

Pale yellow, excellent clarity. Zesty citrus aroma, piney floral taste, good but not overly dominating acidity initially, mineral finish. Not aged enough to be aged, but tasting well for a vintage vintage. Acidity builds over next two hours, bracingly so. Not highly complex, but cunningly crafted. — a year ago

Rasteau Red Rhone Blend 2015

Incredibly pure and voluptuous. Red fruited, piney, pungent and herbal. Some tar and roasted spice on the nose. Lingering, seductive sweetness on the finish. — 3 years ago
