Le mere Poulard - Mont Saint Michel. Scallop omelette and poulet supreme. Very good paring. Enjoyed very much. — 3 years ago
Fantastic buy. Aromas of grass, green veggies abound: asparagus, and green bell pepper. Hints of lime, salt, and lemon. Very rounded balance between just the right amount of acidity and citrus on the palate. Great minerality. Almost golden in color. 13% — 4 years ago

Gooseberry, grapefruit but also some stone fruit - assertive flavor makes an interesting flavor but challenging food pairing — 10 months ago
Smoke, leather, vanilla, ripe plum maybe. Tannic. Very good. — 2 years ago
Today I have opened the 2018 The Pey Family Textbook Cabernet Sauvignon. From Saint Helena, CA Napa Valley. This is a blend of 94% Cabernet Sauvignon and 6% Merlot. A nice surprise at this price point, well worth it.
On the nose there is black cherry, blackberry, plum sauce, vegetal notes, black currant, mint, spice, violets and earth.
On the palate I find black cherry, blackberry, black raspberry, black currant, green bell pepper, spice, mocha, pencil shavings and earth.
This wine is full bodied with a fresh vibrant mouthfeel medium + acidity and medium+ sandpaper tannins that leaves you with a long vegetal black fruit earthy finish. A beautiful wine from the Pey Family. Have a wonderful weekend and please stay safe and healthy as we all start looking forward to the holidays ahead. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 4 years ago

The nose does not present much. A slight hint of apricot but you really have to dig deep to search it out. The pallet on the other hand is very pronounced. Slightly dry and acidic the fruit is lemon and apricot with a hint of straw. The finish of apricot lingers. A bargain at 15.98 from Wine Exchange. — a year ago
2021/10/8 with roasted Challandes duck breast, foie gras in truffle sauce, bass with Mont Saint Michel mussels in beurre blanc, etc. Kaleidoscopic aromas of brambly red fruit, forest floor, stone and toasted spice. Delicate but rounded and fleshy on the mid-palate, with acidity to balance. In a very good place. — 4 years ago

Very delicate body with almost invisible tannins. Surprising acidity and a wonderfully complex blend of summer fruit and mellow herbaceousness. — 5 months ago
