We’re pausing on goodness and hope today. We hold so much gratitude in our hearts for our loved ones and their presence in our lives. We want to share a heartfelt thanks to you all who’ve supported and inspired us day in and day out. 🙏🙏💕💕
Today we had a vegan Thanksgiving bowl of roasted carrots, acorn squash, brussels sprouts, and broccoli, along with mashed yams, potatoes, toasted pecans, pomegranate, cranberry sauce (with orange zest), and thyme-spiced gravy. 🍁🍁🍁
With it we paired a couple of options each of which went well with the flavors, textures, and elements of the meal… here’s the Syrah…
Lionel Faury, Côte-Rôtie, 2018. ABV 13%. Comprised of 90% Syrah and 10% Viognier, from the Northern Rhône Valley, France. Matured 18 months in oak, 30% of which was new. The oak maturation comes across on the nose and palate with notable vanilla, cedar, butterscotch, and caramel notes. Also notes of blackberry, black cherry, plum, black licorice, violet, pepper, smoke / matchstick, and clay pot. 👌👌 — 2 years ago
Got from a local wine store that imports. Not many French wines around hwre. Had with Tomyere Cheese, humitas and pollo asado. It was a great lunch before a birthday. The cheese and wine went well together. Had a Chardonnay profile and color presentation with oak behind it. Really enjoyed it. — 4 years ago

Lovely cote-rotie by lionel Faury — 4 years ago
This was delicious and unlike anything I’ve had. The color was so dark and golden that I was worried it was no good, but the nose was all fruit. Not a citrusy wine, other than maybe some orange marmalade, it’s all ripe, waxy orchard fruit & melon with a saline, savory finish. Full bodied and oily in texture. I expected some oxidation, especially considering the color, but this was fresh and fruity all the way. This was a beautiful, honest tasting wine. — 5 years ago
Starts out super aromatic, over the top intensity of stone fruit, white flowers, marble, just a touch of vanilla in the background. On the palate viscosity strikes first, with fruit stepping back, some phenolics bitterness and a mouth-coating finish — 2 years ago
Crusher, has most of what you’re looking for in a N. Rhône syrah, great value from Lionel Faury — 4 years ago
2016 Puligny-Montrachet “Les Charmes”Raymond DuPont-Fahn. We purchased a bottle from Lionel Michilin private cellar. It was part of a private dinner hosted by him. This wine was featured on the menu. We loved it so much with the food they served we bought a case. When it was done with we looked for it on the internet and found this one — 4 years ago
