Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of several days. The 2020 pours a deep purple color with an opaque core and a ruby rim; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of tart and ripe black and red fruits: cassis, black cherry, raspberries, plums, pencil shavings, purple flowers, licorice, iron rich earth and warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ with some really nice minerals. This was a surprisingly delightful, classic, if not somewhat rustic Right Bank Bordeaux. I really dig this. Drink now through 2035. — 2 months ago
Very deep nearly opaque red. Intense color and saturation. Some bell pepper, white pepper, and dried rosemary on the nose. Delicious blue fruits on the palate, mainly blackberry. Quite hot with the ALC-- Medium+. Medium acidity. Medium+ bodied. Definitely a wine for beef. Tannins are medium but there is a bitterness on the finish--which continues to deliver massive fruit. It's very good wine, that will be great in several years

A long time to open up but worth the wait! — a month ago
A great option as a 2nd brand, still delivers a truly unique and balanced wine based on Merlot, Cab Franc and Cab Sauv., a bit less full-bodied that the usual Figeac. Loved the progression as it opens, nicely complex, very long finish and refined texture and solid mouthfeel. Never disappoints! — 3 months ago

Slightly reduced but truly good and balanced pinot. We liked it quite a bit and think this is an excellent source, its been half a dozen good bottles of different wines and vintages. — 16 days ago
