Light color. Faint strawberries. In the glass pretty Concord grape and elderberry aromatics. Quite acidic needs more time to mellow out.

Not really a profound nose may black cherry. Relative dark for a Pinot. Subdued upon opening. A big wine. Slightly bitter, cherries, earth and black tea. Tightly wound. It took a full day to really open up. Much more interesting than last night. Great wine from a poor vintage but not as interesting as the 2011 Volnay from the same producer. Might need 2 more years.
