Château Haut Samaran

Château Cantemerle

Haut-Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend 2010

Alex Lallos
8.9

I remember tasting this en premieur in 2011 it almost seemed lush and fruit driven back then (which is a complete 180 if you know this chateau) now 13 years it’s true to form, bretty, austere and tannic. By no means do I dislike it but I was expecting something different based on what I tasted a decade ago. With that said, it is typical cantemerle with lots of green notes . — 11 days ago

Château Haut-Bailly

Pessac-Léognan Red Bordeaux Blend 2008

Very interesting and complex wine. Nose is cherry, tobacco and bbq smoke. Texture and mouthfeel is absolutely lovely - so smooth. Cherry up front, with some cassis and black fruit following, tobacco, damp earth, smoky, red licorice, hint of mint?, lots going on here. Really quite nice. Medium plus finish. — 15 days ago

Domaine Huet

Le Haut-Lieu Sec Vouvray Chenin Blanc 2022

Vintage 2022 | Minerality and a hint of violets in smell, awesome balance with for me a sudden power. Razorsharp Chenin Blanc crispness. | Paired with Ceviche | at restaurant Le Frank Paris — 5 days ago

I’m not selling my white Burgundy but I understand your point. It is an enjoyable heady wine.

Château Larrivet Haut-Brion

Pessac-Léognan Red Bordeaux Blend

Lemon color and has a clean smell of lemon and apple. Very balanced taste of pone fruits and citrus just like the smell. Enjoyable, strong body and finish. — a month ago

Château Haut-Brion

Pessac-Léognan Red Bordeaux Blend 2006

Not the best Haut Brion. Very tight. Lots of sediment and lots of time needed for this to even start to open up. Decanted 4+ hours. Dense and thick. Ripe dark fruit. Strong earthiness. I liked it but it never found the top gear. — 9 days ago
