Château Du Clos Sainte Anne

Chartogne-Taillet

Sainte Anne Brut Champagne Blend

Husk cherries, tart golden delicious apples, butter poached pears, brioche, some limestone and chalk and subtle earth. Waves of aroma and wonderfully mature flavors on the palate... so much pleasure. Bottled 2017, disgorged 2019. — 9 days ago

Domaine A.-F. Gros (Anne & Francois Gros)

Maizières Vosne-Romanée Pinot Noir 2011

Rose, cherry, hay, a bit of toast, a bit of black pepper and some violet too. This is a nice burgundy nose! The palate is wonderful with a strong acid backbone, some bright cherry and other forest fruits, a nice velvetty touch on the sides, round tannins that kick off a very long finish with pepper and cherry. I LOVE IT!!! — 6 days ago

Les Cocottes Fleurie Gamay

Earth with hints of blackberry. A heavier light red that's very approachable and way to drink. There's just a hint of tannin to give it some mouth feel. — 5 days ago

Château la Tour de l'Évêque

Chevalier De Lafoux Sainte Anne Côtes De Provence Rosé Blend

Pleasant with my mildly flavored pasta dish, not really standing on its own, but competent. Strawberries, and a bit of dirt! — 4 days ago

Château de Grangeneuve

Sainte Foy Bordeaux 2016

Really tight on opening with strong tannins. Really needed at least 30 minutes to mellow out. Then had a nice rich flavor with moderate finish. Good value for the price as long as you decant or let sit out a bit or it will bite you. — 22 days ago

Gorgeous and deep nose. Cassis, some wood, sappy red berries, smoke, mineral, granite. Needs an hour I’d say. Will track.

Palate is so so 16. Clean, fresh, refined and ripe. Loads of red berry fruit, so juicy, concentrated and pure. Lovely dusty tannins. Very elegant. Long and terrific freshness. Still young and this note is only from 10 minutes open but beautiful wine. Terrific structure as is airs out.

Wow. Honeyed, super floral, bubble gum, apricot pit, minerality, medium bodied, mouth drying finish. Great wine. — 23 days ago
