A bit dry, then sweet. Black fruits. Pepper. Complexity. Concentrated, fruity and spicy. It would be good to keep it for long. Domaine les Grands Bois Rasteau Cuvee Marc 16 @3300, Umem JH, 231223-240126 — 5 months ago

Tart, rich fruit with a peppery, earthy body. Very nice. — 5 months ago
Blend of 50% Malbec, 24% Merlot, 11% Syrah, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot, deep Ruby color with aromas of ripe berry fruits floral and spicy herbs. On the palate flavors of blackberry and juicy plum fruit with spicy herb, cacao and toasty oak. Fine soft tannins, well balanced, good acidity, long finish, almost creamy, ending with fruit & oak. Nice value! — 3 months ago
So I guess this is a Gamay from the Rhône? Didn’t know such a thing existed but this is the best “Rhône” I’ve had in a long time - mostly bc it’s a Beaujolais through and through - classic muddy/cloudy consistency, intense fruit on the nose. Only issue is that it’s still very sparkly on the palate, so definitely needs a few more years. Or a very long decant. Tons of potential — 5 months ago
In a great place right now. Power and elegance. Impeccable balance. — 5 months ago

Still a little closed, needs some time or significant air but tremendous purity and whole cluster structure, red fruit driven with rose petals, wet earth and leaves, a touch of smoke and stony limestone character aplenty — 18 hours ago
