Deep purple color fading to black in the center of the glass. Floral nose with spices and black fruits and a hint of smoke. Black cherries with plums and spices laced with a hint of vanilla. Well integrated oak announcing tannins that have arrived to maturity. The tasting notes for 2023 were very accurate as to where this vintage was heading and I’m glad I have 2 more bottles. Next one will be served with the lamb or dry aged prime rib this wine deserves. — 3 months ago
[8-hour decant] Ripe, rich, very youthful still, with a noticeable tannic backbone, but also shows a sweet palate (think Graham’s/Fonseca, though the Symington family owns Graham’s, Dow’s, Warre’s and Cockburn’s, among others??), this should easily evolve/improve another 10-20 years, very long finish, outstanding vintage Porto, super long finish!! — 12 days ago

i've had this off & on for the past 25 years and it reliably offers copious amounts of fruit along with cocoa, vanilla & other decadent flavors & aromas. This was no different just not as polished or balanced as I recall. Wonder if they've increased production - this is their entry level offering — 4 months ago

Ancient skin-contact tradition is handled with modern restraint; this wine is calm, precise, and quietly rebellious. Refreshing with a med body and a bright citrus peel with sea mist profile. Props to the Somm at Wren & Wolf in Phoenix. This was the most interesting wine of my trip. — 8 days ago
