The bottle has been open a week, and MAN does it still have some power. Beautiful bites of rose petal, peppery spice, tart cherry fruits, strangely hints of violets (or some similar floral) deep in the nose, white peppercorn and redwood or cedar chips near the finish. Color is clean and clear ruby, dark and deep, but with purple hues to the edges. Palate is light to medium, surprisingly lean and tannic but with LOTS of punch. Menthol, dark cherry, tons of energy and acidity, with a long fresh finish with hints of celery, blueberry and graphite. Great purchase while in Berlin! — a month ago

Cloudy, flowery, funky.
A blend of Scheurebe and 3 Muscat varieties, 4 months skin contact, fermented on the lees.
Exotic nose with lychee, flowers in bloom, a bit of mango & guava, with some nice funk and brilliant freshness.
Great energy on the palate, bone dry and with nice, chalky minerality under the juicy acidity, a touch of tannins, great purity & flow.

Estate is the Napa Valley property of Bordeaux producer Christian Moueix; wine is bottled at historic Napanook Vineyard. A blend of 89% Cab Sauv, 6% Cab Franc & 5% Petit Verdot, aged in 40% new French oak, dark Ruby with aromas of dark currant-like berries, tobacco and cedar. On the palate layers of ripe blackberry, black cherry and cassis with vanilla, cacao and espresso. Well balanced, fine soft integrated tannins, long finish ending with floral, fruit, mineral and slight earthy character. Needs a half dozen years in the bottle but will last 20+ years! 2023/3. Wild, woodsy red fruit, flowers and their stems and a touch of spice on the nose. Translucent stony fruit in the mouth - the acidity feels a little low (due to the vintage) but instead of feeling blowsy it comes across as alkaline - like burgundy made with Contrex. — 4 years ago
