Perfect in Manhattans! — 7 months ago
The 2017 Carema is a classy, elegant wine. This is an especially polished style for the appellation. Wild red cherry, dried herbs, mint, pine, licorice and blood orange all flesh out. Pliant and generous the 2017 is very nicely done. This polished Carema from Sorpasso is a winner. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, March 2022)

Nebbiolo all day every day. Very silky red fruit. — 14 days ago
Wow - great value in “mountain Nebbiolo”. Definitely Valtellina-esque. Beautiful aromatics, rose petals, dark cherries, a bit of graphite, and a nice earthy savory quality. Barely medium bodied, great acidity, lovely length. A great expression of Nebbiolo. — 8 months ago
Beautiful red berry, rosy aromatics with a hint of black pepper and tar.
Lean with tamer tannins than expected.
Very fun first experience with Caremark:)

Decanted 1 hr.
N: Leather cherries, roses, cinnamon and oriental* spices, a bit tarry.tobacco.Ever evolving.
P: light and somewhat chewy/tannic on the palate. Mouth filling, very woodsy, cherries in the background, long finish, definitely some roses, Carema is wonderful in it’s lightness yet fullness.
An oxymoronic wine for sure. It often rides that brown/red edge. Perfect!
With more time and air, the tarry, sappy quality increases. — 7 months ago
2022/1/8 with shrimp and chicken gumbo, gruyere biscuits and greens. Bright, lean and leafy - the acidity was a good math with the rich gumbo. — 10 months ago
