Nose has intense honeysuckle perfume, citrus floral notes, white pepper, dried lemon/lime pith and dry, ocean beach sand.
Palate has dehydrated grapefruit, under-ripe pear, orange peel, peach skin with a medium dry finish, nicely refreshing on a warm evening.
Our first time with the Pfefferer (Moscato Giallo) grape. Quite reminiscent of a great Gewürztraminer, from the New York Finger Lakes of course! — 9 months ago
10 years on the lees! Rich, full, and just a touch honeyed with loads of hazelnut and a beautiful bead of a bubble. Don’t know the grape breakdown but this is an incredible sparkler. And from Südtirol!!! €40 from Enovit in Bolzano. — 2 years ago

Nice hey color. The nose is herbs, grass and friuts. The taste is apple and white cherry. Aftertaste: fresh, short but delightfully. Good wine. — 8 months ago
Very fruity, with lots of cherry and strawberry. Notes of pepper and pencil shavings. Lovely quaff and good with food, as well. — 2 years ago
Awesome wine with a sense of place if SudTirol — 2 years ago
Light smoke. Red and black fruit. High acidity and brightness. Delightful. A story buyers notes: Santa Maddalena Classico is its own DOC in the heart of Bolzano. By law the wine must be 90% Schiava (aka Trollinger) and 10% Lagrein. This combination works to add a touch of richness and body to the normally bright and aromatic schiava. The vineyard is a large slope scaling from 250 meters to 500 meters, with the Lagrein grown on the lower portion of the hill. These are old vines averaging between 40-50 years old. Vintage 2016. The color is bright and ruby. The nose is red fruit and minerals. The mouth keeps the same sensation the confy increases, but well-rounded. The aftre taste is short, which is a pity. — 10 months ago
