Brittany brought for my 40th — a month ago
2015 vintage. Another great value from the most confidential Bordeaux appellation. This estate with 60 hectares of vines is owned by Yves Glotin, who is also president of the Syndicat des Graves de Vayres. Mainly Merlot (65%) with Cabernet Sauvignon. A bit timid initially, but give it 15 minutes in the glass or decant to discover a classic elegant Bordeaux without hard edges. Very good value at less than 10 euros. Abv. 13,5%. — 2 months ago
Needed to buy another bottle at the local shop for a discount so picked this up. Wow!! What a find! Awesome, well balanced nose with peach, oak, and even smoke, dirt, and red elements. Bright and smooth! Great aperitif as it isn’t sweet enough to be a dessert wine. Loved it! — 6 days ago
Nice crisp acidity, fairly sweet-tart (passionfruit!!!). Maybe best on its own or with light aperitivo on a hot day. — a month ago
Really enjoyed this - love the old world vines and big body. — 2 days ago
Entre-deux-mers bio délicieux. — 21 days ago
2015 vintage. From Pierre Lurton's private estate in the Entre Deux Mers region. Mainly Merlot with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Red fruit and spices with subtle oak and a hint of leather. Well-balanced, the 14,5 abv. alcohol kept in check by the fresh acidity and slightly rustic tannic structure. Spicy finish. Tastes like something in between Saint-Emilion and Pessac-Léognan. Terrific value too. Drinking well now but I believe it will improve with a few more years of bottle ageing. — 21 days ago
