75% Cab Franc, 25% Merlot, Bordeaux Superiore style, from wineries in Central Bordeaux, but it is a product of France as far as AOP is concerned. What a fun $15 wine!

Apr 24th, 2018This is a 2015, cab franc-dominated, entre-deux-mers Bordeaux. It is surprisingly fruity with blackberries and boysenberry aromas. A hint of rosemary, green bellpepper, and barnyard aromas add to the earthiness. The spice and acidity makes this a perfect wine to go with meat. Luckily, I paired it with a succulent peppercorn-encrusted petite tenderloin filet with portobello mushrooms and broccolini. What a great wine for $15 (coupon brings it to $12)!!!
