Ricca Terra Vintners

Bronco Buster Fiano Blend 2021

56% Vermentino, 44% Fiano, this property is in Australia’s Riverland area (Murray River) a few hours east of Barossa, super crisp, fresh, lively, and enticing, very nice acidity, Vermentino really showing out, but Fiano seems to provide depth and complexity, honestly a heck of a sub-$13 Australian wine here on the Left Coast!! — 8 months ago

This was an already opened bottle that belonged to my father-in-law who passed away one week ago from today. I may be a bit generous on my rating given the situation. — 6 years ago

A young bucking bronco that needs to mature a bit. Great now but so much potential. And only the straight Classico?! #Fontodi 2010 CC — 8 years ago

RKV Reserve Pinot Noir

Hello once again Rocky Knoll Vineyard!
New release 2012 at the cellar door on July 1st.
About 500 cases of triumphant Central Pinot. Lacks the acidity of previous years, but makes up for it in plenty of whole bunching tannic punch!
35% new French oak and 18 months in oak all around makes for one bucking bronco of a 2012 Pinot!
Never mind the snow on the Pisa range in March the said, let's make something to cellar a decade or more why not!
Rich, dark and spicy, just throw it in the cellar!

Cheers!

Livermore Ranch

Livermore Valley Merlot 2013

A Bronco Wine wine. Hmm, That’s the Two Buck Chuck company. This is Livermore Valley AVA though. Worth the $4 flyer at Grocery Outlet. Dark ruby maroon color. Smells dense and kinda complex. Hint of fresh herbs and smoke of dried herbs with the fruity stuff. Flavors are complex. Cherries in a woodsy bourbon barrel thing. Also chalk. (Good way chalk). Meaty streak. This would go well with a rare steak from the coals. Reminds me of nice St. Èmilion or Meritage type blends from Sonoma. This is a great deal for the regular price and one of those WTF deals for $4 at G.O. Just good to great Merlot. — 5 years ago

It's the OJ Simpson of sparkling wine. It's not sweet and it makes me want to drive a white bronco at a slow speed. — 7 years ago
